About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the Payment Implementation Team translating customer documents and requirements into payable activities within payment platforms
- Ensure service level agreements are met, quality controls are in place, and mitigation measures are established
- Directly manage team members and monitor individual performance metrics
- Manage the implementation queue and assign priorities to meet SLA requirements
- Review unique payment requests and large-scale updates for feasibility
- Serve as a client and internal Operations escalation point
- Support Relationship Management with customer engagement, resource and capacity planning, escalations, metrics, and reporting
- Collaborate with Project Management on prioritization, resource planning, and subject-matter-expert support
- Ensure process compliance and audit-ready documentation
- Verify interpretation of contracted terms and rates
- Develop and monitor controls across Implementation and Verification Teams
- Establish and enhance auditing and monitoring checklists and procedures
- Coach and develop team members through one-on-one and team meetings
- Maintain and deliver training programs
- Identify clinical-trial industry trends and therapeutic and country-specific payment nuances
- Define and enforce output, accuracy, workflow tracking, and reporting parameters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or training
- Minimum of 4 years contract management or payments related experience within pharmaceutical or CRO preferred
- Foundational background in global clinical trial design, contracts and budgets
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel required
- Strong leadership skills required
- Ability to challenge and improve existing practices and develop new practices to address gaps
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
