About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze updates by reviewing, researching, and verifying flood insurance updates, including payments on escrow flood loans
  • Interpret, sort, and verify insurance data accuracy
  • Make outbound calls and research insurance carrier websites to verify and update insurance coverage
  • Enter, edit, or modify insurance information in AS400, LPS, Citrix, FiServ, MSP, and other client database systems
  • Review and research insurance updates for FEMA and NFIP compliance, flood adequacy, timing notifications, private investors, and escrow payment disbursements
  • Adjust flood insurance lines based on reports, documents, or AS400 history and update the FI system of record
  • Resolve escrow disbursement discrepancies by researching loans and contacting insurance agencies or companies
  • Examine and process flood exception reports and resolve out-of-sync conditions using internal and external systems
  • Review private insurance flood policy jackets against regulatory guidelines
  • Process client-specific reports and exceptions requiring manual flood coverage review using calculators, appraisals, and cost evaluations
  • Save documents to loan files for audit purposes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum one to two (1-2) years insurance data processing and verification, mortgage banking loan servicing, or related experience
  • Intermediate understanding of mortgage escrow accounts or homeowners insurance
  • Intermediate computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word and Excel
  • Intermediate organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong orientation to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in processing data and detecting discrepancies
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner, and the like
  • Able to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items
  • Must complete pre-employment drug testing
  • Must be a non-tobacco user, as allowed by law
