About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage assigned national accounts to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets
  • Develop and execute customer business plans aligned with channel strategies and account-specific objectives
  • Lead Joint Business Planning and collaborate with buyers and category managers
  • Execute insight-driven selling using category, shopper, and financial data
  • Manage pricing, promotions, and trade investment to ensure ROI and budget compliance
  • Coordinate sell-in and activation of new products, innovation, and promotional programs
  • Partner with Category Management, Shopper Insights, and Marketing to deliver tailored customer solutions
  • Monitor sales performance, promotional execution, and merchandising compliance through scorecards and performance tracking
  • Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
  • Provide reporting, analysis, and insights on account performance, opportunities, and competitive activity
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive sales or account management experience in consumer packaged goods or related industries
  • Proven success managing large, complex national or regional retail accounts with measurable sales and share growth, especially Grocery/Dollar channels
  • Experience developing and executing customer business plans and trade programs
  • Strong financial acumen, including pricing, promotions, and trade budget management
  • Proficiency with sales analytics tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 30–50%, including overnight stays
  • Preferred: experience in consumer goods, tobacco, or regulated industries
  • Preferred: familiarity with revenue growth management, Power BI, Nielsen, or relevant analytics platforms
  • Preferred: advanced knowledge of distributor incentive programs and performance scorecards
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to or exceeding 45 lbs
  • Ability to navigate convenience stores, warehouses, and retail environments, including climbing ladders and working in tight or confined spaces
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods
