About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Scope repair and maintenance work across Kāinga Ora properties
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades throughout project delivery
- Monitor site activity to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification
- Carry out quality assurance inspections and sign off completed works
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are consistently met on site
- Maintain accurate job records, documentation and invoicing
- Build strong working relationships with customers, Kāinga Ora, subcontractors and internal teams
- Contribute to achieving contract performance targets and customer outcomes
- Take ownership of residential maintenance projects from scoping through completion
- Travel occasionally to the Palmerston North office
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience supervising, coordinating or delivering residential maintenance, construction or trade-based work
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities at the same time
- Practical problem-solving ability and sound decision-making under pressure
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety expectations in a construction or maintenance environment
