About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect technology and customer experience for multiple NimbleRx web products serving patients, pharmacies, and other customers
- Build scalable platforms, APIs, and services
- Own backend features from design through implementation and release
- Collaborate with developers, Product Management, and Design on feature requirements and technical use cases
- Deliver high-quality code on time
- Mentor junior engineers and interns
- Promote best practices and high-quality development techniques
- Solve challenging design and technical problems
- Enhance system usability and performance for a consistent user experience
- Own complex projects end-to-end through planning, design, delivery, and maintenance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience with backend APIs, services, and platform development
- Rich development experience with Java, Spring, and SQL
- Experience developing scalable, customer-facing, web-based applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Nice to have: experience with React, Terraform/Terragrunt, or AWS
- Ability to write high-quality code on time
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Results-oriented attitude
- Ability to test own code and review teammates’ code
- Good judgment about project priorities
- Ability to own complex projects end-to-end with minimal guidance
- Ability to take a leadership or driver role throughout planning, design, delivery, and maintenance
