About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead technical projects from design stage through implementation and take ownership of solutions end to end
Design and deliver enterprise network solutions across routing, switching, firewall and wireless technologies
Produce low-level designs, implementation plans, migration plans and build documentation
Deploy, configure, test and optimise network infrastructure
Support modern network architectures including three-tier campus, spine-leaf and fabric-based architectures
Design, configure and deliver Fortinet security and networking solutions
Apply core network protocols and services including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VXLAN, VLANs, HSRP/VRRP, routing policy and multicast
Perform hands-on builds, proof-of-concepts, lab validation and technical testing
Troubleshoot complex technical issues during delivery, implementation, migration and testing
Collaborate with project managers, security teams and customer stakeholders
Prepare, rehearse and implement changes in controlled project and operational environments
Maintain configuration baselines, as-built records, network diagrams, test results and support handover documentation
Contribute to technical workshops, design reviews and customer discussions
Integrate network infrastructure with VMware, Nutanix and Hyper-V compute and storage environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong enterprise networking background with hands-on experience in project delivery, implementation, and design
Cisco networking expertise to CCNP/CCIE level preferred, with strong relevant experience
Strong understanding of modern data centre and campus network design patterns
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama desirable
Ability to produce detailed technical and low-level design documentation
Experience delivering technical solutions in structured and governed environments
Experience with Fortinet Security Fabric technologies, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiSASE, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across complex network environments
Comfortable working directly with customers, including large enterprise or blue-chip organisations
Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure sectors beneficial
Experience with Cisco ISR and ASR Routers
Experience with Cisco Nexus, VXLAN, VPCs and end-user compute
Experience with Catalyst 9XXX switches and Stackwise Virtual
Experience with IPSec VPNs and Cisco SD-WAN
Experience with Cisco Secure Firewall/FTD
Experience with SASE solutions, Palo Alto Prisma Access and Cisco Secure Connect
Experience with Cisco Wireless WLCs, including C9800 series
Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Experience with Azure and AWS cloud environments
Experience with Cisco Meraki Wireless, Security and Switching technologies
Experience with Cisco ACI, HP and Aruba platforms
DevNet principles, automation, Ansible and Python
