About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide cyber assurance over the information security environment and ensure information assets, technologies, applications, systems, infrastructure, and processes are adequately protected
- Identify, evaluate, and report cybersecurity risks to information assets
- Articulate the impact of cybersecurity risks and threats to the Senior Manager, Global Cyber Operations, or delegate
- Support second-line assurance activities covering confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy, and information recovery in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work with teams and third-party vendors to identify and assess third-party cyber risks
- Support Project, Operations, and IS Security teams in delivering secure, reliable, and safe IS operations
- Define IS security requirements for systems and solutions across vendors, project teams, and the wider IS team
- Research and provide security solutions for complex application and systems integrations
- Support the full lifecycle of security tools and services design, development, and operation
- Build peer relationships across IS and business functions
- Follow governance mechanisms to establish and monitor effective controls
- Support regulatory and statutory compliance requirements
- Complete cyber risk assessments, including third-party suppliers
- Apply threat modelling principles to complex system and solution designs and identify mitigations
- Support, monitor, and recommend improvements to the cyber incident management process
- Provide input and support to operational cybersecurity projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of working in an organisation distributed across different geographies and time zones (preferred)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and execution skills (essential)
- Strong cyber security-specific experience, supported by relevant industry certifications such as CySA+ or Security+, and risk management knowledge (essential)
- Knowledge and experience working across cyber security tools, including SIEM technologies, EDR, and NIDS (essential)
- Self-motivated with willingness to go the extra mile (essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences (essential)
- Cyber Security KPI monitoring and delivery (preferred)
- Experience engaging third-party security specialists for additional assurance (preferred)
- Understanding of data security and governance requirements and identifying suitable controls (essential)
- Experience delivering cloud-focused security solutions and understanding modern cyber threats and threat modelling techniques (preferred)
- Good understanding of security frameworks including NIST CSF and MITRE ATT&CK (essential)
