About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare providers across the dental industry through virtual outreach and occasional in-person visits
  • Drive CareCredit product adoption, engagement, credit utilization, and sales performance within the assigned territory
  • Own and prioritize a defined book of mid-to-large practices
  • Set practice-level strategies and select programs/cadence to meet goals
  • Identify and prioritize high-value sales opportunities, including CareCredit acceptance, Installment/MSF sign-ups, reduced origination fee pilots, and waived enrollment fee offers
  • Develop long-term provider-office relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Identify competitive threats and determine actions to reinforce CareCredit as the product of choice
  • Identify new business opportunities, enroll new providers, and manage the existing provider book
  • Determine when in-person visits are required versus virtual engagement
  • Lead sales strategy and manage the assigned territory budget as part of a regional team
  • Use sales strategies during provider visits and calls; document activity in Salesforce
  • Develop dental-industry knowledge and maintain knowledge of Synchrony/Health & Wellness products, offerings, technology partnerships, rates, and compliance requirements
  • Meet or exceed performance measurements and KPI expectations
  • Set business goals to forecast and meet sales and credit-application performance requirements
  • Assist with commercialization of provider Point of Sale initiatives and products
  • Partner with industry account/product representatives, key opinion leaders, and technology experts to drive adoption and utilization
  • Proactively sign up providers for CareCredit acceptance and Installment/MSF products
  • Safely and securely manage company digital assets
  • Perform other duties and special projects; attend industry/association trade shows as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, including 1+ years of consultative sales experience
  • Primarily remote, with potential travel up to 30% for industry/association trade shows, including weekends, and occasional in-person practice meetings
  • Ideal candidate resides within Oklahoma, New Mexico, and West Texas (El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo)
  • BA or BS degree desired
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Outside sales, field sales, and virtual/tele-sales experience
  • Skilled in virtual engagement and data-driven selling supported by CRM insights
  • Business travel and expense budgeting knowledge
  • Dental sales experience; proven portfolio ownership including account plans and prioritization
  • Solution-oriented, consultative, value-based selling experience
  • Medical sales/marketing experience
  • Executive sales, account management, and assigned-territory routing experience
  • Ability to drive field-based growth with strong territory ownership
  • Experience using a CRM tool such as Salesforce
  • Private-label credit card and marketing experience
  • Strong finance business/industry acumen and fluency in patient financing
  • Knowledge of customer financial drivers/needs
  • Openness to coaching and ability to learn quickly
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints
  • Must satisfy Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act requirements
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required
  • Synchrony will not sponsor employment visas
