About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle inbound calls from customers regarding all facets of their deposit accounts
- Answer questions about current accounts and offer new products
- Acquire new accounts and customers by explaining products and value proposition
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer calls
- Efficiently access multiple electronic systems to provide complete responses
- Enhance and strengthen customer relationships
- Assist with account maintenance, including opening accounts, CD renewals, and money movement
- Provide input to senior management on product and process improvements based on customer feedback
- Perform other assigned duties and special projects
- Attend in-person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training, and culture events
- Complete multiple days of onsite training if requested
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 6 months in Financial Services industry or consumer banking
- Minimum of 6 months in your current role, or 9 months in your current role if hired externally after 1/1/20
- At least a “satisfactory” performance rating
- Not be on active formal or final formal corrective action
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of onboarding
- Ability to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available
- Must live within 60 minutes or 60 miles of Kansas City, KS
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong ability to resolve concerns, de-escalate, and provide FCR
- Ability to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to process information, analyze data, and offer effective solutions
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Proven strong interpersonal skills and two-way communication
