About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and further develop standardized material planning for SYNLAB Germany
- Define and optimize planning concepts based on MRP, min./max., and reorder-point logic
- Analyze consumption, demand, and inventory data to continuously improve material availability
- Define and maintain safety stocks, coverage periods, and planning parameters
- Identify and reduce excess inventory, stockouts, and planning risks
- Cleanse and harmonize item and planning data
- Develop KPIs and analyses for managing inventory levels and availability
- Work closely with Master Data Management and IT/ERP teams
- Support the migration of material planning to the future SAP system landscape
- Establish material planning within the existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP landscape, followed by the migration of processes, master data, and planning parameters to SAP
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a comparable field
- Experience in material planning, materials management, inventory management, procurement, or supply planning
- Good knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is particularly advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers
- Proficient in data analysis and Excel
- Structured, precise, and self-directed working style
- Strong commitment to quality in master data, processes, and systems
- Data-driven decision-making based on facts and KPIs
- Ability to identify relationships between consumption, inventory, and availability
- Willingness to challenge existing settings and drive sustainable process improvements
