About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, beverage department, power industrial equipment, and security
Review, coach, and develop maintenance associates
Monitor work, policy adherence, and safety requirements; issue discipline when necessary
Maintain associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings
Facilitate ongoing interaction and maintain open communication with associates
Monitor associate morale and support ideas that improve engagement and enablement
Supervise selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets
Coordinate with other departments to complete upgrades and repairs efficiently and effectively
Develop business relationships and coordinate communication and operations with third-party vendors
Maintain current certificates of insurance and hold harmless agreements for contracted vendors
Make independent decisions regarding parts inventory, taking equipment out of service, training mechanics and employees on preferred work methods, and LOTO
Report to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanics

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent
3 years of on-the-job maintenance experience with electric pallet jacks and electric forklifts
Understanding of general building maintenance, refrigeration, plumbing, processing equipment, welding, and AIB preparation
Ability to manage and motivate
Ability to solve problems and effectively articulate and communicate information
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
