About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Check produce in slots daily to ensure products set up for shipping meet acceptable standards
Communicate quality issues to buyers and assist with resolution
Ensure products are rotated properly and communicate rotation problems to stockers or supervisors
Monitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, and related issues
Greet internal and external customers and maintain proper customer service
Inspect inbound freight, warehoused product, and/or outbound product and document product condition
Correspond regularly with necessary parties regarding product quality status
Analyze, identify, and propose solutions to Quality Assurance problems
Observe all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies
Input orders through data entry and perform extensive customer service duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of experience
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization
Exemplary listening skills to facilitate effective two-way communication
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Solid problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
