About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor and inspect produce at the dock to ensure quality standards and correct quantity
Complete receiving and inventory adjustments and enter information into the mainframe
Perform daily physical cycle counts on frozen, cooler, and dry products
Slot and assign new warehouse items and ensure mainframe information and warehouse labels are correct
Keep the warehouse manager informed of potential problems and changes
Notify customer service of potential product outs
Complete daily inventory and warehouse reports
Manage and direct physical inventories according to SYGMA guidelines and directives
Work with departments regarding merchandise received, new items, and inventories
Adhere to the cycle count program, HACCP, and MSDS guidelines
Operate or use calculators, copier, fax, PC, Microsoft Office applications, telephone, mainframe printer, pallet jack, and forklift as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma/GED
3 years of inventory control experience and/or warehouse experience in food distribution
1 year experience on IBM AS400
Warehouse equipment and possibly forklift
Ability to communicate clearly with shippers and employees
Ability to read text close and at a distance with or without correction
Ability to perform manual tasks, hear, sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others
Familiarity with HACCP and MSDS guidelines
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
