About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run technical discovery with engineering leaders about their architecture, workflows, and requirements
- Build proofs using real customer addresses, routes, and datasets across geocoding, routing, optimization, search, address validation, and maps
- Win competitive bakeoffs against Google Maps, Mapbox, and other providers using data
- Create migration guides, code samples, and tools to reduce switching costs
- Own the technical win through customer sign-off and handoff to implementation
- Build reusable demos, migration kits, and evaluation frameworks
- Build the technical selling function for MapQuest APIs from the ground up
- Support two enterprise sellers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to build proofs using REST APIs, JSON, Postman or curl, Python or JavaScript, and messy real-world data
- Ability to turn an API into a working proof in hours
- Ability to investigate geocoding errors and real-world data issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers and VPs
- Understanding of the technical requirements needed to advance a deal
- Experience with Google Maps Platform, Mapbox, ESRI, HERE, TomTom or similar location platforms is a strong plus
