About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the customer life cycle and grow State and Local Government business within an assigned territory
  • Generate new business opportunities within existing and target accounts
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals while maintaining customer churn goals
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts
  • Conduct in-person customer meetings and build client relationships
  • Sell T-Mobile’s portfolio of solutions by understanding client needs and pain points
  • Coordinate with Account Management, Dedicated Care, and support teams to maximize revenue and loyalty
  • Use Salesforce.com and internal systems for reporting, forecasting, and documentation
  • Lead customer presentations and attend events
  • Develop and execute account strategies
  • Engage operations, marketing, legal, compliance, government affairs, and pricing stakeholders
  • Complete continuous product, service, and sales training
  • Use automated knowledge systems and training tools to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Meet productivity, sales, departmental, and business goals
  • Disburse adjustments and credits within established limits
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 4+ years of proven experience in outside direct sales within an assigned territory
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong strategic selling skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical abilities and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with internal teams
  • Ability to develop deep client relationships and long-term strategic relationships
  • Strong organizational and territory management skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Travel required
  • 2+ years of sales experience in the public sector preferred
  • 2+ years in telecom or technology sales strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of account management and strategic selling preferred
