About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategize, define, plan, deliver, and maintain large and complex products and product enhancements
  • Own the end-to-end in-home Wi-Fi customer experience within Broadband Home Internet
  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and priorities
  • Leverage customer and technical insights to guide product decisions
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, Engineering, UX, Data Analytics, Frontline, network, operations, Care, OEM, and software vendor teams
  • Conduct financial and product analysis, including cost-benefit, ROI, and NPV analysis
  • Present recommendations to executive stakeholders
  • Monitor and report product health and customer experience metrics
  • Translate customer and business needs into technical and operational requirements
  • Lead build, buy, or partner evaluations for managed Wi-Fi platforms, CPE software, telemetry, and support tools
  • Build cross-functional relationships and mobilize teams to deliver solutions
  • Guide initiatives through agile, waterfall, or hybrid processes
  • Create delivery schedules, track progress, and communicate updates, risks, and changes
  • Manage risks to scope, timeline, and budget
  • Facilitate meetings, track action items, and ensure operational-readiness documentation
  • Coordinate testing, launches, support, monitoring, and improvement of Wi-Fi capabilities at fleet scale
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prioritize the product backlog
  • Balance technical debt, production defects, customer needs, and organizational goals
  • Support design, development, and testing and make scope and experience trade-off decisions
  • Partner with engineering, firmware, test, Care enablement, vendors, and OEMs on Wi-Fi connectivity initiatives
  • Serve as a product-oriented Wi-Fi domain expert and bridge technical, business, care, field, and frontline teams
  • Mentor peers and support other duties/projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking, IT or related studies plus 7 years of related work experience, or Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience
  • 7 years Product Management experience in a software product development environment delivering large business/technology initiatives
  • Experience in mixed software and hardware environments preferred
  • Wi-Fi / 802.11 domain experience, including practical familiarity with consumer and/or managed Wi-Fi, mesh networking, and consumer-premise hardware
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, mesh, 802.11k/v/r, RF environment challenges, RSSI, latency, channel utilization, and band or access point handoffs
  • Familiarity with CPE software platforms and device management frameworks, such as RDK-B, OpenSync, prplOS, proprietary OEM firmware, TR-069, TR-369 USP, and TR-181
  • Experience using telemetry, support data, customer feedback, and product analytics to identify Wi-Fi performance issues and prioritize improvements
  • Experience designing or improving assisted troubleshooting or frontline support workflows strongly preferred
  • Experience contributing to vendor, OEM, chipset, or managed Wi-Fi platform evaluations, technical RFPs, SOWs, or build/buy/partner assessments beneficial
  • Ability to bridge business and technical goals in a highly cross-functional environment
  • Ability to communicate with leadership using collaboration and influence
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize product use data
  • Strong requirements elicitation and concise, clear writing for different audiences
  • Experience with collaboration and facilitation across diverse audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strategic and creative ideation and problem solving
  • Solid understanding of customer experience, connectivity quality, product reliability, supportability, and frontline resolution paths
  • Product Owner Certification (CSPO) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) beneficial but not required
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
