About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Conduct market research and reader surveys
  • Measure and evaluate campaign and social media effectiveness using advanced analytics
  • Provide staffing and marketing support for tradeshows, conferences, and internal/external events
  • Develop event-specific materials and attendee engagement strategies
  • Synthesize complex transportation or policy information into compelling narratives for general and technical audiences
  • Report to the Engagement Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field
  • 6–10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in strategic communications, digital marketing, and public affairs
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing social media campaigns that substantially increase subscriptions or readership
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Flexibility with telework to meet client needs
  • Transportation experience, especially in surface transportation research, preferred
  • Knowledge of safety and operations, autonomous vehicles, human factors, roadway design, materials, and bridge engineering preferred
