About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide hands-on coaching in soft tissue surgery, including spays, neuters, mass removals, abdominal procedures, dentistry, and extractions
- Guide associate veterinarians through general practice case workups, diagnostics, and internal medicine management
- Provide real-time case support to build associates’ confidence, efficiency, and clinical excellence
- Partner with Learning & Development to track progress, identify skill gaps, and support measurable improvement in clinical and surgical competencies
- Strengthen surgical capability and medical decision-making through mentorship and collaboration
- Reinforce the Lovet standard of care across hospitals
- Travel between assigned hospitals to provide on-site coaching and case support
- Partner with hospital leadership and the Learning & Development team to prioritize training needs by site and associate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Arizona veterinary license in good standing
- Willingness to become licensed in Illinois and Michigan and other markets as the organization expands
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience in general practice
- Strong proficiency in soft tissue surgery and dentistry
- Confidence in general practice medicine and internal medicine case management
- Demonstrated ability or strong interest in teaching, mentoring, and coaching others
- Ability to travel 75% of the time
- Ability to maintain a Monday–Friday schedule, with weekends as-needed
