About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze current and prospective employee documentation to assess eligibility and determine next steps
- Monitor changes in employees' work status and anticipate potential gaps
- Develop and propose immigration strategies and practical solutions
- Analyze immigration trends and regulatory changes and provide stakeholder guidance
- Assess and coordinate employment-based immigration cases
- Manage case status, deadlines, documentation, risks, and issue resolution
- Advise employees and stakeholders on immigration-related questions and matters
- Draft and review immigration documentation and correspondence
- Maintain and interpret employment eligibility and immigration case records
- Conduct periodic documentation reviews and recommend corrective action
- Prepare analysis and materials for internal reviews and audits
- Partner with outside immigration counsel on case strategy, filings, and follow-ups
- Develop templates and processes for immigration communications
- Guide onboarding-related immigration needs for new hires
- Collaborate with HR, legal, IT, and operations
- Lead or contribute to special immigration-program projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2–5 years of experience in business immigration and related compliance practices, or HR experience supporting that area
- Experience working on immigration petitions end-to-end, including drafting full petitions as needed
- Experience independently owning complex cases from start to finish with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to identify trends and documentation or records gaps and translate findings into recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to build working relationships and collaborate with teams and external partners
- Clear communication skills
- Proficiency with common office software; familiarity with HR systems is a plus
