  • Manage strategic relationships in Durable Medical Equipment and Pharmacy Distribution channels, including PBMs, specialty and retail pharmacy networks, health plans, and access stakeholders
  • Lead contract negotiations, manage access strategies, and drive execution focused on pharmacy benefit access, pull-through, and data-driven performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with value-based selling and field sales teams to expand patient access and business growth
  • Lead contract negotiation and execution with PBMs, health plans, Medicaid plans, Medicare Advantage MCOs, and large employers
  • Develop tailored value propositions using financial modeling, claims analytics, medical information, and health economic data
  • Secure pharmacy formulary coverage, distribution agreements, and reimbursement pathways
  • Maintain DME relationships and contracts
  • Partner with legal, pricing, and finance teams to structure pharmacy agreements
  • Drive execution of pharmacy access strategies with field sales, inside sales, marketing, and market access teams
  • Translate formulary placement into field-sales tools and messaging
  • Develop and execute training, playbooks, and co-branded resources
  • Serve as lead point of contact for assigned accounts and resolve operational issues
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with payer organizations and influence formulary and utilization management policy
  • Represent the organization in business reviews, renegotiation cycles, and quarterly performance meetings
  • Collaborate with patient services, reimbursement, and distribution teams to optimize pharmacy fulfillment
  • Monitor market trends, competitor access, and policy shifts
  • Inform market access strategy with payer mix, pharmacy benefit adoption, step-edits, and tiering insights
  • Provide strategic input into brand planning and pricing
  • Support hybrid medical and pharmacy access models
  • Collaborate with Trade & Distribution, Reimbursement, Patient Support, Legal, Marketing, and Medical Affairs
  • Partner with sales leadership to coordinate pull-through across geographies
  • Serve as subject matter expert in internal working groups and field-facing strategy sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in life science, business, or marketing, or a combination of equivalent education and applicable job experience
  • 12+ years of experience in Market Access, National Accounts, or Managed Markets within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
  • Demonstrated success negotiating contracts with PBMs, health plans, Medicaid Accounts, and Medicare Advantage (Part C) MCOs
  • Prior experience with a pharmacy-first or limited distribution model preferred
  • Familiarity with digital health and connected medical technologies preferred
  • Deep understanding of pharmacy benefits, PBM contracting, pharmacy reimbursement, Medicaid, Medicare, specialty distribution, and DME contracting
  • Strong analytical acumen and ability to turn data sets into actionable account strategies
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills with C-suite and senior executives
  • Experience in patient access programs, co-pay assistance models, and limited distribution networks
  • Ability to translate formulary placement and utilization management criteria into field-ready messaging
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a high-growth, evolving access model environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to work from a home office
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, required auto insurance, and a good driving record
  • Ability to travel by car or airplane up to 50% of the time
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no employment visa sponsorship available
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check
