About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support qualitative and quantitative research using AI-assisted tools to synthesise insight, identify patterns and inform product direction
- Translate research into experience opportunities, particularly for LLM-powered interfaces
- Design and prototype user experiences using strong design fundamentals, LLM-powered approaches and GenUI
- Explore conversational, adaptive and system-driven interfaces, testing and iterating based on feedback
- Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes, including interactive and conversational concepts
- Support design of LLM-powered conversational and agent-like experiences
- Shape prompts, flows, states and interaction patterns for language-model interfaces
- Collaborate with engineers to understand model behaviour and design around its strengths and limitations
- Apply and extend design systems for GenUI and AI-driven interfaces, including tokens, components and patterns
- Contribute to client workshops explaining emerging AI-powered and GenUI experiences
- Work with senior designers to turn complex ideas into clear, actionable outcomes
- Explain design decisions connecting user needs, business goals and emerging technology
- Present work to internal teams and clients through storytelling and visual communication
- Explore new tools and workflows, including vibe-driven design and coding workflows, no-code tools and AI-assisted prototyping
- Contribute ideas to evolve Tangent’s AI and design practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mid-weight designer with strong digital design foundations and genuine interest in LLM-powered interfaces and GenUI
- Strong UX and UI design fundamentals, with confidence using modern design tools
- Experience prototyping and iterating ideas, including interactive or conversational experiences
- Interest or hands-on exposure to LLM-powered interfaces, conversational UX or GenUI through client work, internal projects, prototypes or personal exploration
- Design systems literacy, including understanding how systems enable scale in AI-driven products
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfort working through ambiguity and evolving problems
- Curiosity, adaptability and desire to keep learning
- Attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Alignment with Tangent’s values and culture
- Coding experience is not required; curiosity around vibe-driven workflows, no-code tools or AI-assisted build approaches is a plus
