About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, maintain, and evaluate technical learning assets and programs for customers, partners, and other training programs
- Facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, competencies, and certifications
- Work with developers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to refine the curriculum framework
- Develop training content supporting role-based enablement and certification initiatives
- Create instructor-led student and lab guides, instructor guides, how-to videos/demos, eLearning modules, quizzes, and polls
- Partner with global subject matter experts to identify goals, audience, and objectives
- Participate in the full design life cycle from analysis to evaluation
- Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods
- Coordinate curriculum reviews and assessments to ensure objectives and requirements are met
- Build interactive curricula using images, animations, voice-over narration, and company assets according to branding and style guidelines
- Use evaluations and data to recommend curriculum improvements and edits
- Assist with task and gap analysis and create learning objectives and outlines
- Continue learning curriculum-writing best practices through research and professional development
- Travel up to 10% may be required
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required
- MBA, MA or MS in Instructional Design or related discipline preferred
- 3+ years of experience in an instructional design role required
- Familiarity with eLearning authoring, including the Articulate suite preferred
- Familiarity with video editing and audio editing
- Experience with generative AI workflows such as Claude and ChatGPT preferred
- Prior technical background preferred; IT, networking, or endpoint management familiarity is a plus
- Experience performing role-based task analysis and gap analysis
- Experience creating program evaluations; familiarity with Kirkpatrick evaluations highly preferred
- Strong project management skills preferred
- Strong record of meeting delivery deadlines
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to explain extremely technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Ability to create compelling courseware, including written materials and hands-on exercises
- Ability to work on own initiative
