  • Build and maintain Tanium's servers and client alongside a highly agile development team
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new products and supporting services from the ground up
  • Iterate with product management and customers for feedback and input
  • Focus on customer engagement and feedback processes to ensure products are designed correctly from the beginning
  • Build and maintain platform services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of industry experience; 10+ preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of C++
  • Experience designing and building high-performance, secure, scalable, observable, supportable, and maintainable backend services and APIs
  • Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with cryptographic primitives, TLS, and PKI
  • Experience with HTTP API design and development
  • Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools such as Git, GHA, and Jenkins
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools and technologies into software development, including AI-assisted coding and prompt engineering
  • Sound judgment balancing rapid development with long-term code maintainability and supportability
  • Effective technical and non-technical written and oral communication
  • Belief in writing automated tests as part of development
  • Skilled debugging under production pressure
  • Knowledge of modern server-side and browser-side software frameworks
  • Detail-oriented and passionate about creating an excellent user experience
