About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain Tanium's products alongside an agile development team
Design, develop, and test new product ideas from the ground up
Iterate with product management and customers for feedback and input
Work on common components such as data services unifying endpoint data, time-series data for dashboarding and reporting, and GraphQL integrations for partners
Deliver higher-level services covering security, operations, and auditing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years industry experience
Experience designing and building high-impact, high-performance, scalable, observable, and maintainable backend services and APIs
Knowledge of at least one of Golang (preferred), Node.js, or other modern programming languages
Experience with React, Typescript, Javascript, and other front-end technologies and frameworks
Ability to work with relational databases such as Postgres, SQL, or MySQL
Experience with HTTP API design and development
Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like git and Jenkins
Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools and technologies into software development, including AI-assisted coding and prompt engineering
Sound judgment balancing rapid development with long-term code maintainability and supportability
Automated testing experience
Experienced debugger able to respond under pressure in production environments
Knowledge of modern server-side and browser-side software frameworks and versatility to learn new tools
