Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and scale security solutions for Target technologies
Define security requirements across Target technology and business teams
Assess risk and develop mitigation strategies
Build security solutions that increase impact across peer and partner teams
Lead technical and strategic planning
Mentor team members in security concepts and engineering best practices
Own enterprise-wide security projects or programs and address roadblocks
Operate across on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field; or related experience
10+ years of engineering experience in one or more information security domains
5+ years of experience leading technical and strategic planning and strategy
Experience defining security requirements, managing findings, and mitigating risk across dozens of business lines, hundreds of applications, and thousands of stakeholders
Preferred: Master’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field; or related experience
Preferred: 5+ years of engineering experience in Operational Technology (OT) or Internet-of-Things (IoT) security
Preferred: 5+ years of engineering experience in network architecture, network design, or network segmentation
Preferred: Experience designing, developing, and scaling secure-by-default security solutions
Preferred: Experience aligning business needs with security requirements
Preferred: Executive-level verbal and written communication skills
Preferred: Experience owning enterprise-wide security projects or programs
Preferred: Experience with on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including GCP, AWS, and Azure
Preferred: Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve security-tool effectiveness or operations
Preferred: Experience with SIEM, DLP, IDS, and IPS tooling
Preferred: Experience with NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and PCI-DSS frameworks
