About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide active leadership for the Redmond–Klamath Falls area
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, practices, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee continuous operation, maintenance, and improvement of the assigned area
- Establish and assure compliance with operation and maintenance policies and procedures
- Support planning, administration, and control of capital, operating, and other budgets
- Manage employees represented by IBEW Local Union #77 under the collective bargaining agreement
- Champion safety excellence, recognize and stop unsafe work, and report safety hazards
- Supervise employees and ensure work assignments and expectations are met
- Lead, develop, mentor, coach, and support employees
- Set expectations, hold teams accountable, and cultivate a high-performing organization
- Foster innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Promote an inclusive and diverse work atmosphere
- Complete regular self-audits of JSA, LOTO, work permits, and related processes
- Communicate and implement corporate messages and programs
- Provide field leadership and leverage best practices across the region
- Represent the Company and foster internal and external partnerships
- Drive and empower safety culture across operating areas
- Role-model Life Saving Rules and ensure safe operation of facilities and protection of personnel, environment, customers, and communities
- Maintain ICS training, act as Incident Commander, and manage emergency response
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successful completion of an Associates, Bachelor's Degree preferred; or diploma in a technical based field of study (Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent)
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Energy industry experience, specifically in natural gas transmission/storage operations, preferred
- Ability to travel to work locations to meet operational needs
- Approximately 40% travel
- Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and develop a team
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams, etc.)
- Must be a leader in safety and manage work safely and environmentally responsibly
- Leadership and management skills with diverse work groups
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritize varied tasks
- Ability to work independently and on teams
- Ability to apply business principles and make risk/cost/benefit-based decisions
- All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based, without restrictions
- Background screening required, potentially including criminal and/or credit checks
- Must maintain all levels of ICS training to act as Incident Commander and manage emergency response
- Must be on call and respond to emergency situations
