About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Locate and visually mark subsurface pipeline infrastructure with paint and/or flags
- Oversee and manage pipeline or utility crossings and encroachments
- Complete DOT and company documentation
- Perform pipeline maintenance, including leak repair, right-of-way clearing and inspection, and assistance with mainline valve tie-ins
- Perform pipeline locates through the state one-call system
- Patrol pipeline rights-of-way and assist with leak surveys
- Operate company truck
- Operate compressor engines and support equipment
- Plan, coordinate, and perform mechanical maintenance, including corrective and preventive maintenance, equipment and system improvements, and major maintenance projects
- Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain compressors, turbines, generators, pumps, boilers, coolers, fans, gearboxes, valves, operators, and auxiliary equipment
- Complete work orders and gas handling plans, apply LOTO to equipment and pipeline segments, enter data into job plans, and create work orders in SAP
- Perform other tasks as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience locating and marking subsurface pipeline infrastructure
- LOTO experience
- Gas Handling experience
- Previous energy industry or related experience
- Knowledge of reciprocating compressors, turbines, and standby generators
- Knowledge of regulators and/or meters
- Industrial experience in a plant environment
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
- Availability for 24/7 call-outs and extended emergency-response work
- Ability to travel to company locations, including overnight stays
- Ability to work in adverse weather and temperatures, perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in cramped conditions
- Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based without restrictions
- Successful background screening, potentially including criminal and/or credit checks
