About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate with cross-functional project stakeholders and support teams
  • Develop and maintain formal project execution processes and procedures, including playbooks, templates, delivery plans, roadmaps, and contract documents
  • Support assurance activities for conformance with the TC Project Delivery Standard
  • Identify and implement technical and process-driven continual improvement initiatives
  • Develop initiative charters, execution plans, and detailed schedules
  • Resource load and lead cross-functional teams to deliver continual improvement goals
  • Monitor risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Generate and distribute senior management reporting on portfolio KPIs, initiative status, and program conformance
  • Collaborate with Corporate Services, Technical Centre, project stakeholders, and Project Quality teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project personnel and support teams
  • Develop Stage Gates presentations and documentation for gate readiness reviews
  • Identify and share lessons learned
  • Represent USGP in organization-wide process improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree/technical degree required in Business Management, Engineering, Quality, or Project Management
  • Minimum 4 or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge and experience with project and portfolio management processes, policies, and principles
  • Working knowledge of version control and change management processes
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to Leadership
  • PMP, CAPM, or Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage varied tasks, adapt to changing tasks, and prioritize timely execution
  • Familiarity with SAP Project System/PPM
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project
  • Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based, without restrictions
  • Background screening required
