About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage facilities regulated programs to achieve reliable operation and continuous improvement of assets within TC Energy’s Canadian pipeline systems
  • Supervise and manage General Plant Maintenance Capital projects for process safety critical equipment, including turbocompressor equipment, auxiliary systems, and balance of plant equipment
  • Oversee maintenance projects to ensure regulatory and corporate requirements are met
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, cost change control, variance reporting, scope, schedule, and risk
  • Provide bi-weekly and monthly updates on project performance metrics
  • Direct and manage external consultants and contractors
  • Collaborate with Canada Gas Operations, Integrated Planning, Engineering, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Optimize and align field resources for field implementation
  • Identify data integrity improvements and cost savings through program analysis
  • Support development and implementation of project management tools, standards, and processes for regulated programs in Canada
  • Identify value creation and efficiency improvements to reduce project costs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 10 years of related project management experience
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in PC-based computer systems and software applications, especially SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Master Plan, and Project
  • Proven ability to embrace and lead change and quickly understand new processes and related issues
  • Valid driver's license and driver's abstract
  • Ability to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training, with overnight stays away from home up to 25%
  • Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based, without restrictions
  • Successful completion of required background screening, which may include criminal and/or credit checks
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Preferred: Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA and in good standing
  • Preferred: Ability to influence and exercise leadership without formal authority
  • Preferred: Leadership skills in delegation, negotiation, communication and consensus building
