About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide presales technical support to the Sales team
- Present tailored demonstrations and qualification discussions to customers and prospects
- Assist with qualifying opportunities and expanding existing opportunities through questioning
- Conduct technical proofs of concept, demonstrations, and presentations for supported products and solutions
- Assist Account/Product Managers with opportunity qualification
- Deliver deep-dive product demonstrations to customers and business partners
- Train partners on product solutions
- Contribute to and refine technical RFP/RFI responses
- Coordinate and manage technical validation events and POCs
- Coordinate and manage POC assets
- Participate in conferences, shows, and exhibitions when appropriate and requested
- Recommend and influence market content
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- In-depth knowledge of vendor products and general networking technologies
- Experience with switches, routers, and firewalls in intranet/internet environments
- Good network and security knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to articulate complex technology simply
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Ability to effectively multitask and handle a high volume of requests, including unplanned/unscheduled requests
- Ability to execute instructions and request clarification when needed
- Sensitivity to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
