About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide concierge-level service in planning, developing, and executing TD SYNNEX leadership and executive team events
  • Plan and execute vendor-sponsored and company-wide events, including executive meetings, leadership summits, incentive trips, customer events, and top-seller trips
  • Develop event budgets and track expenditures
  • Conduct site visits as needed
  • Manage agendas, registration sites, hotel rooming lists, food and beverage, audiovisual and production, transportation, activities, and event specifications
  • Source and manage third-party vendors, obtain competitive bids, negotiate pricing, and review work against TD SYNNEX standards
  • Enhance team processes and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Train team members in the US and Canada
  • Train Vendor Marketing Managers on standard event processes and procedures
  • Assist with assignments for 10–12 major conferences and larger events with 100–2,000+ attendees
  • Research and source third-party suppliers for RFPs, contracts, payments, production, and relationship development
  • Lead training for new team members and Vendor Marketing Managers
  • Manage relationships with the third-party housing company
  • Liaise with the Canada events team on planning guidance, processes, procedures, and onsite event support
  • Provide backup support when Event Team members are traveling
  • Perform other event-related responsibilities as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience
  • College degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college preferred
  • 8–10 years’ experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field preferred
  • Industry certification preferred (CMP, CMM, CTSM, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Cvent, Marketo, and virtual event platforms
  • Knowledge of the IT Channel is a plus, but not required
  • Must be polished, professional, and positive
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends when needed
  • Ability to travel domestically for assigned events
  • 25%–35% travel, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Ability to execute instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Ability to use common office equipment
  • Complex problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities
