About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set and execute recruitment strategy at targeted campuses across the state
- Build stakeholder-engagement strategy and empower alumni, corps members, and campus ambassadors
- Work across teams to plan, execute, and improve recruitment strategy using data-based tools
- Make decisions throughout the Teach For America selection process
- Hire and manage part-time student employees
- Source high-potential corps-member prospects and develop outreach strategies
- Identify impactful campaign levers and partnership opportunities
- Tailor communications to candidates’ motivations and interests
- Initiate and nurture relationships with network partners and external stakeholders
- Plan and execute recruitment events and initiatives
- Drive applications and steward candidates through the admissions process
- Build individualized relationships with prospective candidates and guide them through admissions
- Participate in selection, confirmation, organization-wide events, and team meetings
- Stay informed about partner-region educational landscapes and community needs
- Analyze campaign data and maintain accurate prospect data in the internal CRM
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of professional experience
- Teach For America alumni and/or experience working in low-income schools strongly preferred
- Prior recruitment experience preferred
- Proficient in planning, execution, and strategy design
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality results
- Skilled at building and nurturing relationships across different groups
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in varied settings
- Ability to travel independently to multiple locations for work and store/bring items to those locations
- Occasional evening and weekend work is required
- Ability to lift and transport up to 20 pounds for work purposes
