About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the advertising product roadmap end to end, from ad format and placement strategy through serving infrastructure, targeting, measurement, and reporting
- Design and launch native, integrated ad experiences with Product Design
- Own the serving and targeting stack, including ad server implementation, trafficking and campaign delivery workflows, private marketplace deal setup, and first-party signal work
- Build the measurement foundation, including impression and viewability tracking, event instrumentation, third-party verification, advertiser-facing reporting, and experimentation frameworks
- Define ad quality, density, and user experience standards
- Partner with Ad Sales and Revenue Operations to package product capabilities into sellable inventory
- Develop targeting taxonomies, rate card inputs, campaign delivery, and pacing processes
- Model and forecast the business using volume, fill rate, and eCPM models
- Own privacy and compliance requirements for ad targeting and data use with Legal, including children's data considerations
- Break down ambiguous problems into sequenced plans and balance revenue, engineering cost, and user impact
- Report to the VP Product
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Ad Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and senior company leaders
- Rebuild TeamSnap's advertising product for its unified sports platform serving youth sports families
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7–10 years of product management experience
- Meaningful experience on the publisher/supply side of the ads ecosystem, building and monetizing ad inventory within a consumer product
- Direct experience launching or scaling ad products in consumer mobile apps on iOS and Android
- Knowledge of SDK integration, ATT, IDFA, app store policies, and mobile app release cycles
- Hands-on technical fluency with publisher ad stacks
- Experience with ad server implementation and trafficking, including Google Ad Manager or equivalent
- Experience with programmatic guaranteed and private marketplace deals
- Experience with key-value and audience targeting
- Experience with ad SDK integration, VAST, and video formats
- Understanding of fill rate, eCPM, RPM, sell-through, viewability, and latency
- Ability to build and defend inventory pricing and business models
- Experience working with a direct ad sales organization
- Demonstrated judgment regarding advertising and user experience
- Experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude or similar
- SQL-adjacent data analysis capability
- Must be a permanent US resident
- Must be comfortable working with people in different time zones
