About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify new business opportunities, open strategic accounts, and develop a portfolio of clients and partners
  • Conduct multichannel prospecting among companies, energy suppliers, large energy consumers, and partners
  • Qualify client needs and identify opportunities for Corporate PPAs, energy supply contracts, and solutions for monetizing generated power
  • Develop commercial proposals with internal teams
  • Prepare and lead meetings, presentations, and negotiations through to contract signature
  • Manage long sales cycles and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain the sales database, track opportunities, and report on the pipeline
  • Contribute to defining the sales strategy, priority segments, strategic accounts, and acquisition channels
  • Develop new markets and partnerships in France and internationally
  • Represent Mexens at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Support the Development, Projects, and Investments teams in securing new energy projects
  • Provide customer and market insight for Greenfield and M&A project analyses
  • Lead consultations with market participants and turn customer feedback into internal recommendations
  • Report directly to the Head of Energy Markets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent) from a business school, engineering school, or equivalent institution
  • Proven experience in business development, complex sales, or origination
  • Ideally, at least 3 years’ experience in energy sales or procurement; business development in renewable energy; origination or commercialization of energy projects; negotiation of Corporate PPAs or energy supply contracts; or selling complex solutions to major accounts
  • Commercial mindset and strong ability to build and manage your own business portfolio
  • Knowledge of the electricity and gas markets, as well as regulations applicable to energy contracts, is an advantage
  • Strong enthusiasm for prospecting, complex sales, and building lasting business relationships
  • Professional proficiency in English required
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented
