About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a portfolio of clients and prospects in France and internationally
  • Identify companies, energy suppliers, large energy consumers, and partners likely to purchase renewable electricity on a long-term basis
  • Conduct active, multichannel, and structured prospecting
  • Engage with senior decision-makers and build lasting commercial relationships
  • Manage the sales database, opportunity tracking, and pipeline reporting
  • Qualify needs and identify opportunities for Corporate PPAs, contracts with energy suppliers, and solutions for monetizing power generation
  • Develop commercial proposals with internal teams
  • Prepare and lead meetings, presentations, and negotiations
  • Manage sales cycles through contract execution and coordinate stakeholders
  • Define and implement the commercial strategy for electricity sales
  • Identify priority segments, strategic accounts, growth opportunities, acquisition channels, and partnerships
  • Contribute to expanding into new markets in France and internationally
  • Monitor customer needs, competitors, and market developments
  • Represent Mexens at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Support the Development, Projects, and Investments teams in securing new projects
  • Provide customer and market insights for Greenfield and M&A project analyses
  • Identify commercial offtake opportunities for new assets and lead market consultations
  • Translate customer feedback into internal recommendations and help secure revenue streams for new assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent) from a business school, engineering school, or equivalent institution
  • Proven experience in business development, complex sales, or origination
  • Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in energy sales or procurement, renewable energy business development, energy project origination or commercialization, Corporate PPA or energy supply contract negotiations, or selling complex solutions to large accounts
  • Commercial mindset and strong ability to develop your own business portfolio
  • Knowledge of the electricity and gas markets, as well as regulations applicable to energy contracts, is an advantage
  • Strong interest in prospecting, complex sales, and building lasting commercial relationships
  • Professional proficiency in English required
  • Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
  • Autonomous, organized, and results-oriented
