About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently classify items, services, and technologies under applicable Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) and USML categories.
- Identify applicable export exemptions and licensing requirements.
- Prepare assessments, briefings, technical evaluations, and regulatory interpretations.
- Maintain compliance databases, documenting review findings and supporting information.
- Develop and update training materials and outreach products.
- Provide technical and programmatic input to reviews and policy development.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least three years of demonstrated export compliance experience, including application of ITAR, EAR, USML categories, and ECCNs.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Strong reading comprehension, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical and regulatory information clearly to audiences with varied backgrounds.
- Ability to manage assignments independently and contribute effectively to team projects.
- Availability to work onsite in the Washington, DC metropolitan area up to five days per week as required.
