About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze financial and operational performance data to identify trends and drive strategic decision making
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support financial planning and budgeting processes
Evaluate and improve financial and operational processes to drive efficiency and cost savings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management
Conduct financial analysis to support business development initiatives and investment decision making
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls
Manage and optimize the Product and Technology department's finances and operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent degree and experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with a strong interest into accounting and financing
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree and experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with a strong interest into computer science, cloud technologies and cloud provider
1+ years relevant experience as an Information Technology or Finance professional managing IT
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts
Ability to establish IT cost management strategies, models, processes, and tools
Understanding of cloud billing practices and procedures
Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Interpersonal, consultative and facilitation skills, coupled with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication
Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada
AWS, Azure and/or GCP Cloud Certification, FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Financial Management, Total Business Management or equivalent certifications would be an asset
Experience in cloud would be an asset
Experience in Power BI would be an asset
