About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the IT function end-to-end, including systems, endpoints, identity, SaaS, office infrastructure, support, and IT security
Lead a small IT team and set technical direction, priorities, and standards
Make automation the default to eliminate toil and enable self-service
Own the core stack, including SSO, SCIM, MFA, MDM, Google Workspace, and Slack
Partner with Security on least privilege, endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability management, and incident response
Own office technology across company locations, including networking, AV, conference rooms, and physical security
Build scalable IT systems, processes, and controls as Tekmetric grows
Evaluate, implement, and manage identity and SSO solutions
Improve company productivity and efficiency by managing systems sprawl
Manage the operational IT department budget and track budget versus actuals
Report to the VP of Business Systems & AI

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience owning and scaling IT functions in a fast-paced technical environment
Hands-on leadership experience, including setting direction, developing a small team, and contributing technically
Deep experience with macOS, MDM, Google Workspace, SaaS, identity, and access
Expertise with automation, APIs, AI tools, and Bash/Python
Strong security experience across endpoints, identity, access, vulnerability management, and incident response
Strong judgment and first-principles thinking
Willingness to work beyond traditional IT boundaries, learn new domains, and contribute wherever needed
