About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the full development lifecycle from ideation and brainstorming through implementation and testing
- Build strong relationships with Product and Design teams and align vision and goals
- Distill abstract problems into scalable, sustainable, and performant solutions
- Design and implement scalable services and applications
- Provide implementation estimates and evaluate different solutions
- Collaborate across agile teams to design, develop, test, and support technical solutions
- Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, code quality, and thoughtful application design
- Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of new features
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and growth support to junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years software engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience with Java and SQL databases
- Experience working in fast-moving and dynamic environments
- High standards and a strong work ethic
- Strong product sense and communication skills
- Experience working cross-functionally and within ambiguity
- Remote engineers must be located in Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones within the US
- Contractors must be located in the EU
- Experience with Java, Spring, and MySQL
- Experience with JavaScript and React is a plus
- Experience with React is a bonus
- Experience with AWS is a bonus
