About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead financial performance, reporting, planning, and internal controls for the Fresh Foods Division in the US
- Own the monthly financial closing process across the business unit
- Provide management analysis and recommendations on cost management, resource management, revenue accounting, customer profitability, market segmentation, pricing, and contracts
- Support capital expenditure spending management and execution
- Partner with business and IT teams to improve operating expenses, working capital, and profitability
- Serve as primary financial advisor to segment leadership and participate in the segment leadership team
- Drive operational improvements through efficiency initiatives, automation, and analysis
- Support monthly forecasts, long-range financial plans, annual operating plans, and strategic planning
- Analyze operating results, risks, and opportunities; present results and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and explain variances against budget, forecast, and prior year
- Oversee standard costing, product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Partner with operations to improve manufacturing performance, inventory turns, cash flow, and margins
- Maintain internal controls, SOX compliance, audit coordination, accounting policies, and financial risk monitoring
- Evaluate capital investment proposals using ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analyses
- Partner with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Human Resources
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 80/20, Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence
- Lead, develop, and coach the financial Controllers organization and build succession plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 7 to 10+ years of progressive finance experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing finance leadership
- Experience as a Controller or Senior Finance Manager
- Experience supporting executive leadership
- Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred
- MBA preferred
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and GMP
- Experience with financial closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, internal controls, SOX compliance, audits, and capital investment analysis
