About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review and process CWCOT claims according to company procedures and applicable guidelines
Examine claim files, supporting documentation, payment histories, and related information to determine accuracy and eligibility
Enter and maintain accurate claim information in company systems and databases
Identify and resolve missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information
Review calculations and documentation for errors, overpayments, underpayments, and other financial discrepancies
Analyze claims to identify and document recovery opportunities
Meet daily and weekly productivity, quality, and turnaround-time expectations
Process a significant volume of claims while maintaining accuracy
Follow workflows, procedures, and quality-control requirements
Communicate claim issues and unusual circumstances to the Team Lead or management
Research claim-related questions and resolve issues using available resources
Maintain organized and complete claim documentation
Respond to feedback and quality-control findings
Stay current on FHA requirements, claim-processing procedures, and company policies
Protect confidential customer and company information
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with default mortgage claim processing — REQUIRED
Experience with FHA, CWCOT, and Black Knight — REQUIRED
Ability to review claim documentation and guidelines
Ability to identify discrepancies, errors, and potential recovery opportunities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical thinking and pattern recognition
Organization and ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities
Problem-solving skills
Ability to meet productivity, quality, and turnaround-time expectations
Clear communication of questions, issues, and claim findings
Ability to learn new processes and adapt to changes in VA requirements and company procedures
