About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle 50–70 inbound calls per day from health plan members
  • Assist members with coverage, premiums, deductibles, copayments, provider networks, billing, and benefit-related questions
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries while ensuring accurate and timely service
  • Document member interactions and maintain accurate records in company systems
  • Provide professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented customer support
  • Navigate multiple systems while efficiently managing customer conversations
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Escalate complex issues when appropriate
  • Meet quality, productivity, and customer service expectations
  • Support members enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace healthcare programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain professional and positive in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with multiple computer applications simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Candidates must reside in Minnesota and be able to report onsite if needed
  • Call center experience preferred
  • Healthcare, insurance, or member services experience preferred
  • Experience handling high-volume phone interactions preferred
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurance terminology preferred
