About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform collections related to inpatient Workers Compensation claims
- Manage accounts receivable and mail follow-up on amounts due from payors and third parties
- Conduct timely collections and third-party follow-up in accordance with CBO policies
- Provide support to assigned facilities and assist other facilities as requested
- Respond to requests in a timely manner
- Maintain customer service through courteous, compassionate, and positive communication
- Adhere to applicable policies, procedures, compliance standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Promote the Mission and Vision of Post Acute Medical
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live in or near San Antonio, Texas
- Prior collections experience required
- Prior experience in billing and collections for Workers Compensation claims ideally
- Workers Compensation experience preferred but not required
- Experience with payment posting, medical collections, medical billing, Medicaid, revenue cycle, accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, and collection calls
- Data entry and customer service skills
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and medical terminology
- Typing speed of 50 wpm
- Ability to maintain compliance standards and confidentiality
- Intermediate-level experience
