About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide customer service assistance regarding Pension and Health & Welfare plans
- Maintain high standards of quality in customer interactions and transactions
- Suggest opportunities for improvement and support execution of improvements
- Accept and resolve benefit plan inquiries from participants, retirees, beneficiaries, company personnel, and Diocesan personnel
- Refer the most complex issues to senior department members
- Use systems and department resources to research information and answer questions
- Document all activity and maintain accurate records of referrals
- Make and document system changes, corrections, and other actions within delegated authority
- Respond to webmail inquiries within delegated authority
- Prepare accurate, fully researched reports and similar documents
- Develop effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Assist Client Service Representatives and department staff with administrative and processing tasks
- Send correspondence, paperwork, and forms to plan participants and sponsoring employers
- Assist in training new and temporary staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of call center experience in benefits enrollment/benefits administration or retirement/pension benefits
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Flexibility to work between 8 AM and 8 PM EST, Monday–Friday, with an assigned 8-hour shift
