About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide whole-person one-to-one coaching and education

  • Stay current on clinical best practices for whole-person coaching and share expertise across the team and company
  • Allocate up to 30% of time to liaison, project, or cross-functional responsibilities as business needs require

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must possess and maintain certification as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)
  • Up to date with the required CEUs to maintain NBC-HWC
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to apply evidence-based principles to coaching practice
  • Ability to interpret and incorporate the ADCES 7 DSME/T education model, focusing on diabetes-related behaviors
  • Strong background knowledge of diabetes science and latest treatment options
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the healthcare field
  • Ability to provide quality member education and coaching
  • Ability to assess member needs, including skills, knowledge, barriers, and motivation
  • Coaching approach congruent with Motivational Interviewing
  • Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) CDC Lifestyle Certification preferred
  • Advanced degree in a health-related field preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English desirable but not required
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
