About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and maintain software components in C and C++
Develop tools, test infrastructure, and automation using Python
Enhance and support Ethernet and GigE Vision software stacks for industrial imaging applications
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported issues
Participate in software architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, validation, and application teams
Develop and maintain unit tests
Contribute to integration, system, and regression testing
Investigate defects and implement corrective actions
Use Git-based source control workflows
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems
Follow software development lifecycle processes
Maintain technical documentation and design specifications
Develop and troubleshoot Ethernet communications involving IP, UDP, RoCE, and related protocols
Support GigE Vision imaging systems and high-speed data transfer applications
Analyze network performance and communication issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience
Strong programming skills in C and C++
Experience with Python scripting and automation
Knowledge of source control (Git), code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration
Experience developing unit tests and test automation
Knowledge of Ethernet networking fundamentals and TCP/IP
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience developing Windows device drivers or low-level system software (preferred)
Experience with Linux software development (preferred)
Experience with machine vision, industrial cameras, or image acquisition systems (preferred)
Knowledge of GigE Vision, GenICam, or related industry standards (preferred)
Experience with cybersecurity standards and secure software development practices (preferred)
Familiarity with static analysis tools, sanitizers, and software quality metrics (preferred)
Experience using AI-assisted coding, testing, and software development tools (preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively in French in a bilingual environment (preferred)
