About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate, structure, and/or administer contractual documents establishing business relationships with vendors, customers, and/or partners
- Work with sales and service teams and the legal department to structure contracts
- Analyze contracts for compliance with company policy, government specifications, and other requirements
- Review estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules
- Prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits for upper-level review and approval
- Review bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable bids
- Negotiate contracts with customers or bidders
- Request amendments to or extensions of contracts
- Advise departments on contractual rights and obligations
- Compile data for preparing estimates
- Maintain contract and contractor status databases
- Review correspondence concerning contractors and respond as necessary
- Establish and maintain contact with contractors to support the contract awarding process
- Act as liaison between the company and subcontractors as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 0-2 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform the essential duties
- Must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, rules and regulatory orders
- Successful completion of applicable background checks, which may include education verification, employment history and verification, criminal convictions, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR & driving history), reference check, credit checks/credit history and drug testing
