About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the development and implementation of EH&S programs and procedures to meet regulatory standards
  • Lead accident investigations, including interviews, accident reporting, claim reporting and submission, medical clinic assistance, and communicating claim updates
  • Coordinate corrective actions
  • Assist with scheduled and unscheduled regulatory agency inspections and inspection closure requirements
  • Maintain OSHA and EH&S records, document retention, and filing, including hazardous waste records, manifests, contingency plans, and SDS library
  • Ensure hazardous waste management complies with Federal, State, and DOT requirements
  • Oversee third-party contractors and consultants for EH&S activities
  • Coordinate product environmental compliance, including RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65
  • Perform job hazard analyses and select personal protective equipment
  • Coordinate and create facility-specific safety training using internal resources or consultants
  • Maintain the compliance calendar, including required audits and training schedules
  • Coordinate local Emergency Response Teams
  • Purchase safety equipment, first aid supplies, and related items
  • Oversee compliance programs, hazardous waste management, regulatory reporting, facility initiatives, permits, and safety systems improvements across manufacturing facilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in an EH&S manufacturing setting, or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences (or equivalent) and 1+ year of related experience
  • Intimate knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Previous experience with program development and management, including LOTO, Accident Reporting, Accident Investigation, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, and Electrical Safety is preferred
  • Experience with EHS internal auditing/corrective action development is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to partner with management and staff
  • Ability to work with various computer programs to manage data reporting and tracking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability and flexibility to support multiple site manufacturing facilities in Trenton and Montgomeryville
  • Ability to climb ladders for roof access
  • Ability to conduct daily and weekly audits while walking and/or standing in the facility for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to push and/or pull carts up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness and ability to perform other duties as assigned
