About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the long-term strategy for the Midlands region for the Urology homecare business
- Drive sales and market share for intermittent catheters and bladder-management products
- Create and execute tactical plans to increase awareness and uptake of Teleflex Urology products
- Cover the Midlands ICB territory, including Black Country, Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham & Solihull, Coventry & Warwickshire, Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, Derby & Derbyshire, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and Herefordshire & Worcestershire
- Build strategies using data for short-, medium-, and long-term strategic planning
- Identify and roadmap profitable business opportunities
- Maintain and defend sales within the territory
- Provide expert product-use knowledge
- Build and maintain relationships with acute and community key opinion leaders and customers
- Develop sales and commercial strategies to drive annual revenue growth
- Track market trends, market size, customer segments, competitors, and emerging technologies
- Monitor competitor activity and respond to issues and opportunities
- Win, manage, and implement formularies
- Present NHS business cases focused on costs and savings
- Conduct regular performance reviews using activity metrics, sales data, market data, and other resources
- Provide monthly forecasts for the defined area
- Partner with the National Sales Manager, Sales, and Marketing teams
- Coordinate cross-functional partners including Marcom, R&D, CMA, and Operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA in Business (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience, or related practical experience
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals
- Knowledge of the field of urology and urology products preferred
- Strong relationships with local urology nurse specialists and continence advisors preferred
- Understanding of urology products, their use environments, and audiences
- Proven experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment from concept through development, review and timely implementation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong track record of over-delivering revenue versus sales plan
- Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiating skills and ability to adapt to changing work priorities
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license with a maximum of 6 points
- Less than 20% travel outside the UK
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret engineering specifications, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, specifications, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
- Ability to clearly convey project accomplishments, obstacles, issues, and status
