About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead global strategic marketing for Teleflex’s Surgical Business Unit
  • Lead front-end innovation and prioritize high-value opportunities aligned with unmet clinical needs
  • Translate customer insights into innovation briefs, value propositions, and product requirements
  • Partner with R&D on concept development, prioritization, and stage-gate decisions
  • Lead concept validation and prototype testing using qualitative and quantitative research
  • Develop global growth strategies and identify priority markets, segments, and adjacencies
  • Conduct market landscaping, including TAM/SAM sizing, competitive dynamics, trends, and disruption signals
  • Lead annual and long-range strategic planning
  • Establish and lead Voice of Customer and market research capabilities across global markets
  • Synthesize stakeholder insights into business and innovation strategies
  • Monitor clinical practice, reimbursement, and care-delivery-model changes
  • Develop and own financial models for products, markets, and strategic initiatives
  • Evaluate investment trade-offs and align initiatives with growth, margin, and ROI targets
  • Partner with Finance and portfolio leaders on scenario planning and resource allocation
  • Identify, screen, and prioritize M&A and strategic partnership opportunities
  • Collaborate with Corporate Development and leadership on the M&A roadmap
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards for portfolio health, innovation progress, and strategic outcomes
  • Provide senior leadership with updates on market trends, growth opportunities, and recommendations
  • Ensure adherence to Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Prior people management experience required
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in strategic marketing and front-end innovation (FEI)
  • Global experience preferred
  • Experience leading and developing people
  • Ability to produce quality work while adhering to strict executive-level deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic priorities and execute in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to manage ambiguity and drive results
  • Strong analytical capabilities translating market, financial, and clinical insights into actionable business strategies
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead, influence, and align teams across a highly matrixed global organization
  • Ability to work within an approved budget and develop cost-saving measures
  • Ability to contribute to profits and revenue
  • Ability to work in an office/professional environment
  • Willingness to travel; travel required (30–40%, with expected travel up to 50%)
